Likutei Shoshanim, Chassidic essays on the Pentateuch, by Rabbi Moshe Zvi of Savran. Lvov, 1872.
Rabbi Moshe Zvi Gitterman of Savran (1775-1837, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, Vol. III p. 369-371), ardent disciple of Rabbi Baruch of Miedzyboz. He would testify that "with a quorum of disciples of such caliber it is a simple task to bring the Messiah". He was a major influence over thousands of Chassidim. He protested vehemently against the Breslaver chassidut unto the extent of prohibiting their ritual slaughter etc., nevertheless, the Breslaver Chassidim still included him in their list of "Righteous Names".
