2. Copy of letter by Rabbi Ya'akov Meir ("President of Chief Rabbis") and Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Weber, secretary of the Chief Rabbinate, to the Legal Secretary of the Government of Palestine, Norman Bentwich (“Bentov-Ish”), [1 May 1924]. Signed by hand by the above.
In their letter, the Chief Rabbinate representatives request to comment on the “constitution proposition” (item no. 1), regarding the authorities and role of the Chief Rabbinate. [4] leaves, 33.5 cm. Good condition.
