The letter deals with Torah thoughts and private and public matters. Mentioned is "my father-in-law who is now Rabbi of Tiktin".
Rabbi Mordechai Steinberg, Rabbi of Ciechanowiec Neustadt (Ciechanowiec which is situated near Bialystok was divided into two parts, the Alt-stadt and the Neu-stadt = the old city and the new city), one of the first disciples of the Saba of Novardok. Perished in Holocaust of Polish Jewry.
