A letter in the handwriting of the Admor Rabbi Yisrael Shapira of Bluzhov to the Admor Rabbi Avraham Yissachar Engelhard of Radzin. New York.
A blessing of "a blessed good year and crowned with all kinds of salvation." In the continuation he requests that he should remember him in his pure prayers "for complete salvation in complete health" and in the end he signed "Yisrael Ben Tzippora of Bluzhov" [as customary in signing a kvittel].
The Admor of Bluzhov Rabbi Yisrael Shapira (1890-1990, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, 2, pages 577-578), grandson of the Admor Rabbi Zvi Elimelech of Bluzhov, author of Zvi Latzaddik who was the grandson of the author of Bnei Yissachar. Rabbi in Prachnik and Admor in Istrik. After the holocaust, he immigrated to New York and was the eldest of the Admorim in his generation. He was renowned for his holiness and his love of mitzvot.
