Legal Portfolio – Water Supply in Jaffa, 1940s-50s

Opening: $100
Unsold
Legal documents portfolio – legal claim by Ahmed Jabbar Abdul Kader el-Nassli against the Military Governor of Jaffa and the Jaffa Municipality. 1940s-50s. Hebrew, English and Arabic.
Ahmed Jabbar, owner of a water well which he dug in Jabaliya (Givat Aliya, Jaffa) in 1930-31, supplied water to the neighborhood through pipes and pumps he installed himself, until the municipality started supplying water through the same pipes. In 1949 Ahmed Jabbar and the court reached an agreement according to which the Military Governor will lease the water pump and pay him a one-time compensation. Nevertheless, according to these documents it seems that the trial continued into the 1950s. Circa [60] leaves, size varies, medium-good condition.
