Kav, aperiodical, art and literature – New Forms and substances, edited by Dan Omer, Yona Fisher and Rachel Shapira. Jerusalem, 1965-1967. Issues 1-12. Without issue no. 2. After publishing the seventh issue the editors decided to concentrate on art and Dan Omer who contributed to the literary part - retired. A total of a dozen issues of this periodical were published.
"'Kav"… intends to write about what happens in the different areas of art in Israel and around the world with no intention to assess value or significance". The issues include works by leading, modern, Israeli artists, poetry and literature – both original and translated, interviews with artists, ceramic works, essays about architecture, manifests, etc. Amongst the writers: Ya'akov Agam, Avigdor Arikha, Yigal Tumarkin, Yonatan Ratosh, Aharon Apelfeld, Ram Carmi, Israel Gudovitch, Harold Schimmel, Yehiel Shemi, David Avidan, Yehuda Amihai, Menashe Kadishman, Amos Keinan, Yitzchak Danziger, and others. A dedication handwritten by Yona Fisher appears in Issue no. 3.
Size varies, issues 1-4 23.5 cm, issues 5-12 26.5 cm. Good condition. Some stains.
