First issue of the Communist journal "Jung-Wald", published in Moscow in the years 1923-1928 and providing a platform for the young Yiddish writers of the period. The issue includes stories and poems by Haim Gildin, Izzy Harik and others, with small illustrations in black and white. The latter include a number of illustrations by A. Hafter and Frans Masereel. Handsome cover, printed in red and black, with an illustration of a worker. Cover design by Nissan Shifrin.
