The important book by the Hebraist and scholar Johannes Buxtorf (1564-1629), explaining Talmudic abbreviations. At the end of the book is a bibliography of about 300 works from the Literature of the Sages, an index of abbreviations appearing in the Mishna, a short review of the history of the Talmud and other parts.
[8] leaves, 335 pp, 16.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Creases. Folding marks to corners and blemishes. Tear to margins of title page and open tear to one leaf. On the inside of the front binding are handwritten notes (in Hebrew, Arabic, Greek and other languages). Worn and damaged binding, with tears to spine, corners and margins. A label is glued to the bottom of the spine.
