The book includes, in addition to Bodenschatz's reseach, thirty detailed and beautiful engravings, most of them of Jewish customs: Blessing of the Moon, Prayers in Synagogue, Tisha Be-Av and more.
Johann Christoph Georg Bodenschatz (1717-1797), German Protestant theologist. Described in his book Jewish life, mainly of Ashkenaz Jewry. He describes in detail Jewish customs of his time and succeeds in portraying objectively Jewish way of life and customs.
