Hanukkah Lamp, Russia, 1908-1917.
Silver (marked).
The lamp has a cast base with legs, upon which sit small cups. On the panel of the lamp, ornamentations made in hammering, sawing, and screwing techniques. In the center, the Temple menorah flanked by Yachin and Boaz columns. In front of the panel is a pair of free-standing lions holding palm trees (A bird in a nest is on every treetop). A Torah crown held by two lions is on the top of the lamp. On the reverse side, a hook for hanging.
Height: 29cm, width: 20 cm, the "shamash" is not original.
