Halachic signed response by the Ga’on Rabbi Yechezkel Sirkin Av Beit Din of Kapust. [Later than 1883].
The letter [regarding giving Truma on the impure] begins: “Regarding what the esteemed and honorable Torah scholar wrote in the eighth pamphlet of the Yagdil Torah, which was not in agreement with the Rabbi from Moscow and I too have disagreed with him in the sixth pamphlet, however…”.
Rabbi Yechezkel Sirkin (passed away in 1889) was among the greatest Chabad rabbis in Belarus. He served as Rosh Yeshivah in Vitebsk and as rabbi in Yakovstadt. Was among the Hassidim of the Admor the "Zemach Zedek". From approx. the year 1860 he served as Av Beit Din of Kapust. Author of Binyan Yechezkel on the Shas (Warsaw 1861) and Binyan Yechezkel pamphlet, attached to the Yagdil Torah anthology (Odessa 1885). He actively participated in the Yagdil Torah anthology which was published in Odessa (1879-1885), and his statements in this letter focus on his article as well as other articles in Yagdil Torah.
