Portraits of forty three rabbis, public figures, intellectuals, physicians and scholars; most of them are from Germany, Holland, Poland, England and France. Amongst them are: Moses Montefiore, Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Sofer, (the "Ketav Sofer"), Rabbi Eliyahu Guttmacher, Wolf Heidenheim, Samson Raphael Hirsch, Jacob Ettlinger ("Aruch LaNer"), Yitzchak Brayns from Hamburg, Akivah Lehrn from Amsterdam, Elhanan Rosenstein from Berlin, Yona Yotlash from Prague and many others (names appear in Hebrew below the portraits). Name and address of printer appear on the bottom; in Hebrew and in Russian, as well as the censor's approval (year is missing).
23.5X22.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Spots, folding marks and creases. Numerous tears, professionally restored. All of the four corners are missing and restored (one corner – text omission).
