Five medals honoring and commemorating different personalities. Europe, late 19th/first half of 20th century.
1. Medal in honor of the 80th birthday of Julius Rodenberg (1831-1914), Jewish-German poet and author. Obverse: profile portrait inscribed: Julius Rodenberg, zum 26 Juni MCMXI" Monogram of the initial H.L. Reverse: Dedication to Rodenberg's 80th birthday from the publisher Georg Paetel.
2. Bronze medal commemorating Adolf Fischhof (1816-1893), Jewish-Austrian physician, author and politician, born in Hungary. Obverse: his portrait, name and dates of life and manufacturer's name: "F.X. Pawlik". Reverse: a woman draping a bust of Fischhof with flowers. At her side is a winged cherub holding a torch. Diameter: 56 mm.
3. Bronze medal in memory of Max Reinhardt (1873-1943), Jewish-Austrian director, theater actor and producer. Obverse: profile portrait, legend: "Max Reinhardt" and a signature "Jaray". Reverse: plain. Diameter: 60 mm.
4. Bronze medal commemorating Adolphe Cremieux (1796-1880), Jewish-French statesman, one of the founders of Alliance Israelite Universelle. Obverse: profile portrait, and the legend "Adolphe Cremieux", signed: "A.Borrel 1881". Reverse: a text about his public roles, within a wreath, surrounded by a text: "Neé a Nimes (gard) le XII Avril MDCCLXXXXVI. Mort a Paris le X Fevrier MDCCCLXXX" [born in Nimes on April 12, 1796, died in Paris on February 10, 1880]. Diameter: 67 mm.
5. Bronze medal in honor of Max Leeser (1855-1935), Jewish-German banker. Obverse: profile portrait, surrounded by the legend "Max Leeser 1932". Diameter: 70 mm.
