Epitome Historico-Chronologica Gestorum Omnium Patriarcharum, Ducum, Judicum, Regum, et Pontificum Populi Hebraici, by Bartholomaeo Gajo. Rome: Joannis Generoso Salomoni, 1751 (date on last page: 1752). Latin and some Hebrew.
Book in three parts, comprising 143 engravings. Those in the first part of the book present portraits, mostly of Biblical figures, including judges and kings (the portraits are arranged in chronological order, from Adam to Agrippa). The engravings in the second and third parts present portraits of the kings of Babylon, Persia, Greece and Egypt. Alongside the portraits, the engravings contain short biographical texts in Latin (with a few sentences in Hebrew). Red and black lettering on title page.
[2] leaves, [113] engraved plates, [2] leaves; [1] leaf, [16] engraved plates, [1] leaf; [1] leaf, [14] engraved plates, [1] leaf, 35 cm. Good condition. Stains (large dampstains in the beginning of the book). Creases and minor blemishes to margins. Tears to several leaves. Open tear, restored, to first title page. Ink stamps on first pages. New binding, with gilt decorations. New endpapers. Bookplate on inside front binding.
