Copper Tray – Verses of "Hallel" and a Star of David – Persia

Tray. [Persia, 20th century].
Engraved copper, silver-plated (has artist's stamp in Persian).
Overall engravings with verses from Hallel and from the prayer "Nishmat Kol Chai" (beginning with "And if our mouths were filled with song"). On both sides of the tray are Stars of David within a round frame with the words "Zion" and "Magen David" inside them).
The exact purpose of the tray is not clear. Possibly, it was used for decorating the Seder table since the verses engraved are said as part of the "haggada".
