Copy of typewritten letter, signed by Chaim Herzog (1918-1997), Lieutenant Colonel and Head of the Intelligence department of the General Staff (later, President of the State of Israel), regarding "cancelling the intelligence service and transferring its tasks". [Tel Aviv], June 1949.
Two typewritten leaves were attached to the letter with a suggestion to publicize new definitions for the tasks and structure of the Intelligence Branch (the Intelligence Branch operated until the establishment of the Intelligence Wing - Aman in 1953). Three leaves. Various sizes. Fair condition, tears, folding and file marks.
