Collection of items related to Bikur Cholim Hospital in Jerusalem, [late 19th century to 1970s].
Large collection that includes many graphic items and various documents, including: * Large "Mizrah" with illustrations of the Holy Sites. Solomon Brothers Press, [late 19th or early 20th century]. * Three large certificates, in color lithographic print (Monsohn): "Shtar Mikne" (Letter of Purchase), "Certificate of Membership" and "Yahrzeit Table". * Thick volume, the hospital's "Yahrzeiten Notebook", with recorded deaths from the 1860s to the 1970s. About 390 pp, 28.5 cm. Poor condition. Heavily worn, with multiple tears. * Illustrated receipt book of the hospital, [1920s]. Monsohn Press, Jerusalem. * Leaf printed in lithographic printing, "Souvenir of Love from the Land of our Forefathers", with various illustrations including an illustration of the hospital building (see picture). * Two hospital receipt books, issued for donations to the hospital, [1930s]. The receipts were illustrated and designed by Meir Gur-Aryeh. Unused. * Handwritten leaf, Kontrakt [contract], 1912. Signed by hand by Yoel Moshe Solomon, Asher Eliezer Levin, and a third person. * “Membership Certificate”, signed by hand by Yoel Moshe Solomon, Yehiel Michal Pines and Asher Eliezer Levin. * Album with about 30 photographs of the hospital and its activities, from the 1920s to the 1970s. Includes a number of photographs by photographer Tzaddok Bassan. * Two of the hospital’s charity boxes, one made by Alfred Salzmann, the other made in New York. * Other items.
Size and condition vary. Some of the items are in fair-poor condition, with tears and filing holes.
