Bible, with an elaborate binding made by Bezalel. London, 1919.
Silver, filigree and etching; engraving; set with gems. Gilded leaf cutting. Stamped: "Bezalel Jerusalem".
Etched on the front cover are the words "Torah Nevi'im V'Ketuvim" and adecoration in the shape of pomegranate tree branches. The bottom is decorated with a Torah crown and Tablets of Law held in the paws of a pair of lions. Etched on the spine are the acronym "Tanach" and various decorations: grape vines, shofars and architectural pillars. Etched on the back cover are the insignias of the 12 tribes, closely etched Stars of David and a medal inscribed "Bezalel Jerusalem".
