Beit Ya'akov Schooling system for Jewish girls was founded early in the 20th century by Sarah Schenirer in Kraków who opened a school for Haredi girls and named it "Beit Ya'akov". This school turned into a movement (this was a novelty based on a ruling by "Hafetz Haim", who stated that the prohibition to teach women Torah and Talmud is irrelevant to the present generation).
