Bat Eini, Talmudic novellae and responsa, by R. Yissachar Dov Ber MiGeza Tzvi Rabbi of Zlotchov (Zolochiv), disciple of the Maggid of Mezeritch and R. Yechiel Michel of Zlotchov. Dubno: [Jonathan son of Jacob of Wielowies], [1798]. First edition.
Copy owned by the rebbes of the Ruzhin dynasty, with their stamps. Various kvittel inscriptions on the title page and second leaf, including requests to be mentioned in prayer for "success in spiritual and material matters and all goodness".
On the title page, early stamp of Shlomo Friedman – presumably Rebbe Shlomo son of Rebbe Avraham Yaakov Friedman (the first) of Sadigura.
The book was later in the possession of Rebbe Shlomo Friedman of Chortkov (1894-1959, last rebbe of the Chortkov dynasty). His stamps appear on the title page and another leaf.
The author, R. Yissachar Dov Ber was a friend and cousin of R. Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev. One of his disciples was R. Chaim of Czernowitz, author of Be'er Mayim Chaim, who describes in his book Eretz HaChaim the Divine Inspiration he witnessed in his teacher.
