"The Festive Debut and First Concert for Subscribers… Toscanini with the Palestine Orchestra". Advertising poster for the debut concert of the Palestine Philharmonic Orchestra ("The Palestine Orchestra"). Tel Aviv, 1936.
The debut concert of the Palestine Philharmonic Orchestra was held in December 1936 at the "Levant Fair" hall in Tel Aviv. The concert's conductor was the famous Arturo Toscanini.
60.5X87 cm. Good condition. Folding marks and creases. Light stains. Tears (mostly to margins and fold lines), some long. A number of tears reinforced with adhesive tape.

Café "Teka" was one of the oldest coffee shops on Ben Yehudah Street in Tel-Aviv. This advertising poster, designed by David Shneur (1905-1988), portrays the logo of the coffee shop - a boy with a sack on his back.
Approx. 63.5X88.5 cm. Fair condition. Mounted on thick cardboard. Creases and folding marks. A number of tears. Stains. A strip (4 cm wide) is lacking at the lower part. Framed.

Ten years ago: The Nazis Burned These Books… but free Americans Can Still Read Them. A lithograph poster printed on behalf of the United States Office of War Information (American-government agency which operated during World War II and distributed propaganda). [Washington, 1943]. English.
In the center of the poster is a photograph showing the burning of the books organized by the Nazi propaganda office and held in May 1933 in the Berlin opera place.
Such propaganda posters were distributed in the United States when it entered the war to present to the American public the danger of the Nazi enemy.
50.5X71 cm. Good condition. Folding marks. Tear by the top margin of the poster, with color completion. Linen-backed for display and preservation.

A poster calling youth to join summer camps of "Habonim" movement.
"Habonim", a Jewish youth movement in the spirits of Boy Scouts, was founded in Britain in 1929. Its goals were fostering the Jewish culture and the Hebrew Language and expediting national revival through personal fulfillment in the spirit of the Labor Movement. In 1958 the movement became "Ichud Habonim" and in 1980 it was united with "Dror" movement. Presently the movement is named "Habonim-Dror".

Copper, etching. Marked "Bezalel Yehrushalem" (Hebrew).
On the circumference of the plate appears an ornamented ring depicting the Children of Israel leaving Egypt, and on the top of the plate appears the shape of the Tablets of the Law, inscribed "Exodus from Egypt, Bezalel, Yerushalem" (Hebrew). In the center - a round medallion, surrounded by a ring of stylized Stars of David with an inscription in the center: "and I shall bring you to the country…" (Hebrew).
Diameter: 19.5 cm. Good condition. Slight defects. Suspension loop on the back.

On the front binding is a window with a filigree bar, topped with a small opening with a gemstone set in it, and in its center is a medallion showing Moses carrying the Tablets of the Law. Curving vine twigs and clusters of grapes are etched all around. Titles on the spine: "Torah Nevi'im Ketuvim" (Hebrew) and "The Holy Bible"; on the back binding appear the symbols of the Twelve Tribes. The binding is locked with a clasp etched with the image of a palm tree.
11.5X14X6.5 cm. Good condition. Bends. Minute break. Damage to the hinge of the clasp. Stains to margins of leaves.
