Amudeha Shiv'ah, homilies on the Bible, by R. Betzalel "preacher in the holy community… of Slutsk, Lithuania". Prague: Sons of Yehuda Bak, 1674. Second edition.
Copy of R. Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini, the Sdei Chemed (1833-1905), with his signature and stamp (faded) on the title page.
Glosses in Italian script in several places (summarizing the topics in various sections).
The book comprises homilies, arranged in seven sections – "Amudim" (pillars). This important work was widely distributed at the time, and reprinted in several editions. Over the years, many of the books were lost, though there are numerous extant copyings in manuscripts from Sephardic lands.
