Collection of documents and letters sent to the Jerusalemite composer and conductor Zvi Talmon (Monsohn), late 1930s to the 1950s.
Zvi Talmon (Monsohn) was born in Jerusalem in 1922, studied in "Etz Chaim" and in "Tachkemoni" school. Graduated from the "Mizrachi" Teachers Seminary. Worked as a general teacher and as a music teacher in "Tachkemoni" school, served as a cantor in several synagogues, performed in "Kol Israel", founded the "Heichal Shlomo" synagogue choir and was its conductor for ten years.
The collection presented here contains thirty letters about musical issues, requests for performances and lectures, etc; newspaper cuttings, entrance-tickets to a special performance "Young composer Zvi Monsohn concert"; nine posters announcing events with the participation of Talmon; thirteen certificates and "Award Certificates" from "Etz Chaim" Talmud Torah, in the name of Shimon Monsohn. Lot of more than fifty items, various sizes and conditions.
