"Come, let us go to meet the Sabbath / "Lighting the Eternal Light on Sabbath Eve, from the Lives of Spanish Immigrants in Salonika Late 18th Century". Lithograph poster by Rapahel Avraham Shalem (1888-?). Jerusalem: Monsohn press, [1937].
Raphael Avraham Shalem was a student of the first class of Bezalel. The poster, depicting the interior of a synagogue in Salonika, is dated "5676" [1916] and was indeed created already in 1916; however, due to lack of means it was only printed in 1937. The present copy was printed with golden ink.
