Various photographs of the Ga'on Yossef Tuvia Abramovitch, passport with photograph of 1926 and photographs of family relatives.
Rabbi Yossef Tuvia Abramovitch, author of "Yad Yossef" on rules of shchitah and treifot. Born in Kelm (Lithuania). Served as shochet in Manchester (England) then came to Jerusalem in 1928, at an old age. His wife Hannah died in 1932, Rabbi Yossef [and his second wife Sheva] died around 1950. In one of the photographs the rabbi holds a sign: "this is the share of my toil, sefer Yad Yossef… printed in 1913 in Poltava".(see item 529 about this edition lost in World War I].
