Shlomo Narinsky (1885-1960), born in Russia, studied photography in Berlin. In 1905 he immigrated to Palestine and settled in Jerusalem. He worked as a photographer and opened a studio in Jerusalem. This pictorial series of postcards was published by Jamal Brothers when Narinsky was in exile in Egypt, to where he was deported during World War I due to his foreign nationality.
