Some 45 receipts for donations, membership cards, and items of ephemera. Palestine and Europe, [ca. 1920s till 1940s]. Hebrew, English, Yiddish, and additional languages.
The lot comprises:
• Sixteen JNF items: Invitation to the 25th anniversary celebration held in Jerusalem's Zion Hall (1926); donation certificate made out to a schoolchild (1943); three Yizkor memorial booklets (two include a donation stub); and more.
• Eleven membership cards issued to members of various Zionist organizations, including Maccabi of Palestine (1929); "kupat HaSefer" (document designed by Meir Gur-Aryeh, 1922); "Shemer Insurance Fund for Jewish Guards" (1945); and more. Some bear illustrated monthly payment stamps.
• Nine receipts and donors' booklets: School of the "No'ar Ha'Oved, " Haifa; "Mifal Am LiBizron U-Bitahon"; the Haifa Union Promoting Palestine Produce; the Jerusalem School for the Jewish Blind (four different cards); and more.
• Two letters from "the Jerusalem council for matters related to the shekel" • And additional items.
