Collection of items from the Cyprus internment camps:
1. "Ma'oz", illustrated booklet with poems and essays describing the life of the "Ma'oz" youth group in Cyprus (the group was part of the "Nocham" organization - "No'ar Chalutzi Meuchad", United Pioneer Youth). [Cyprus, 1948]. Hebrew and Yiddish.
The booklet includes short essays that describe, among other things, the group's attempt to make aliya to Palestine from Lithuania and Poland, their deportation and their life in Cyprus. It includes fine illustrations depicting the camps, the "Theodor Herzl" illegal immigration ship and more. 53 leaves, 20 cm. Printed on bluish paper. Good condition. Stains and tears to cover. Back cover detached.
2. "Registration Form for Children of School Age in the Cyprus Camps", printed leaf; with filled-in handwritten details - a list of the names of pupils in fifth grade in Camp 70 (one of the "winter camps" for illegal immigrants in Cyprus). [1] leaf, 28 cm.
3. "Masechet Hanukkah". Cyprus, 1949. [3] leaves, 30.5 cm.
4. Lined notebook, "A Gift from the JDC to the Cyprus Exiles". Notebook pages blank. 20.5 cm.
5. Admission ticket, "Seminar for Guides in the Jewish Camps in Cyprus". 11X5.5 cm.
