Manuscript. “The following are the claims” – copy of the argumentation which Rabbi Aharonson of Kiev argued in favor of the Zionists and the replies of Rabbi Shalom Dov Ber Schneerson. “The copy is produced in Kavala, on Sunday, the twentieth of Iyar, 1903”.
Printed in a number of variations in Igrot HaKodesh by the Admor Rabbi Shalom Dov Ber Schneerson (Brooklyn 1985, page 290). Apparently, the printed version was edited, whereas this version is an even more precise copy of the original version which Rabbi Shalom Dov Ber Schneerson himself wrote (beginning of replies to claims written in first person). At end of copy a passage which was not printed in Igrot HaKodesh added, in which the Admor instructs his disciples “to join the Zionist society and if possible to also take part in their gatherings and divert the crowd from the foolish path…” (this passage was printed only in the Ktav VeHamichtav pamphlet, New York 1917, see item 453?????).
