A comprehensive study of various religious customs around the world, which became an important source of information concerning religious traditions in the 18th and 19th centuries. The first volume depicts Jewish and Christian-Catholic customs and includes an engraving portraying the inauguration of the Portuguese synagogue in Amsterdam, and engraving depicting in great detail different Jewish customs, such as, laying Tefillin, Seder Pesach, Wedding ceremony, Brit Milah (circumcision) and Simchat Torah celebrations, and various religious objects. 6 volumes, 46 cm. Condition varies. Stains. Minor tears, damages to bindings. Front binding of first and last volumes - detached.
