Document of obtaining of evidence. Jerusalem, Adar (1912). Signed by Rabbi “Shaul Chaim son of Rabbi Avraham HaLevi Horowitz” and by Rabbi Yehoshua Tshervinski and Rabbi Dov Meir.
Rabbi Shaul Chaim HaLevi Horowitz (1820-1916, Otzar HaRabbanim 18013, Encyclopedia of Scholars of Eretz Israel, 3, page 77), son-in-law of the Nachalat David. Av-Beit-Din of Dubrovna for 18 years. In 1883 he immigrated to Jerusalem, where he was considered one of the greatest Torah giants of the city. Established and lead the Yeshiva and Talmud Torah Meah Se’arim. Was blessed with longevity and passed away in 1916. His compositions include Klilat Shual, Mitzpeh Shaul, and more.
