Collection of photographs by the sisters Charlotte and Gerda Meyer – landscapes, portraits of well-known persons, photographs from an Independence Day parade, and more. Most photographs were taken in Haifa, [1930s to 1950s].
About 80 photographs. Some are stamped with different ink-stamps of the Meyer sisters, some are signed in pencil and some are not signed. Among them:
• A photograph of Alfred Mond (Lord Melchett) in Haifa. Ink-stamped on verso: "Photographic Studio Charlotte Meyer Haifa".
• Two photographs of the British High Commissioner Arthur Wauchope. Presumably these photographs were taken during the corner-stone ceremony of British Sailors' Society in Haifa. Ink-stamped: "Photographic Studio Charlotte Meyer Haifa".
• Photograph of the Swedish diplomat Folke Bernadotte with his assistant Ralph Bunche at the entrance to Zion Hotel in Haifa.
• 59 photographs from Independence Day parade in Haifa, 1953. The photographs are mounted on five album leaves. On the first leaf appears a label of the Meyer Sisters studio in Haifa, and on the last leaf appears the studio ink-stamp.
• Portrait photographs of David Ben-Gurion, Arnold Zweig, Bronislav Huberman, Arturo Toscanini, Charlotte Meyer and others (most are not signed).
• Seven landscape photographs of Haifa and the port. Six are mounted on thick paper cards or on greeting cards (with printed greetings in English, for Christmas and the New Year). Most photographs are signed in pencil on the cards.

The photographs portray children in a swimming pool in a settlement, farm animals among transit camp tents, queue for a bus in Jerusalem, flood in the desert, the Jordan river and a desert with some houses.
Five photographs are stamped on the back with photographer's ink-stamp. Two are signed with additional ink-stamps. One photograph is titled and dated by hand on the back.

Ten photographs by Marli Shamir. Second half of 20th century.
Among the photographs: • Three photographs from Jerusalem: The Hebrew University in Givat Ram, the National Insurance Building and the Western Wall. • Two photographs from the country’s northern region: Mount Hermon covered by snow, and the village Daburiyya in the Jezreel Valley. • Photographs depicting desert landscapes in the Sinai Desert region.
All of the photographs, except for one, are stamped on the back with the photographer's ink-stamp (one photograph is signed: "Photography, Miriam Shamir, Jerusalem"). One photograph is signed by hand.
The photographer Marli Shamir (b. Berlin, 1919) immigrated to Israel in 1938. She opened a photography studio in Rehovot in the early 1940s and worked as a scientific photographer at the Weizmann Institute. She moved to Jerusalem in 1945 and was one of the founders of Photo-Prisma Studio, where she worked until 1949. During the blockade of Jerusalem, she established a military photography laboratory in the city for the Haganah. She lived in West Africa during the 1960s and 1970s with her husband, Meir Shamir, who worked in Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The photographs portray, among others, Haganah forces climbing the Kastel Hill after its occupation; fighters clearing an unexploded shell, near a hospital in Tel-Aviv; a boy and a girl guarding an agricultural path near Rehovot in the direction of Tel-Aviv; joint prayer by a tent camp; new team of Israeli air force preparing an aircraft for departure from a training camp in Italy to Tel-aviv; group of recruits in a shooting lesson; and more.
On the back of ten photographs appear ink-stamps of the information services, the intelligence and the Israeli censorship, and remnants of printed notes with information (apparently, these were used as propaganda material for Israel). The collection includes a large assortment of photographs, most of them press photos documenting Sharon's military service, his personal life and his political roles. Including: • Three photographs documenting Ariel Sharon's meeting with the Chief of the General Staff Rafael Eitan and head of the Military Intelligence Directorate Yehoshua Sagi near the refugee camps Sabra and Shatila, on the eve of the massacre in the camps. Inscribed by hand on the back of the photographs: "On the roof of the command and control post, morning of September 15, 1982, photographer: Uri Dan". • Arik Sharon and General Avraham Yoffe, both in IDF uniforms, standing with their wives near the Western Wall, apparently shortly after its liberation. • Encounters with artists and intellectuals from Israel and abroad (Gila Almagor, Yigal Bashan, Kirk Douglas and others). • Encounters with politicians from Israel and abroad (Martin Indyk, Abu Mazzen, Yitzhak Shamir, Rafael Eitan and others). • And more.
