• 58 photographs of Hadassah hospital and the Hebrew University buildings on Mount Scopus. Among them: photographs of the hospital façade, treatment rooms, corridors and yards, the Medical School building, the building of the Jewish Studies Institute (present day Faculty of Law), amphitheater on Mount Scopus and more. The collection also includes four photographs of Erich Mendelsohn, architect of the Hadassah hospital, with Zalman Schocken, Henrietta Szold and other figures, during a visit to Mount Scopus. Twenty-seven of the photographs are ink-stamped on the back with Alfred Bernheim's stamp (some of the photographs were possibly taken by other photographers).
• 36 photographs of Heichal Shlomo in Jerusalem, including photographs of the façade of the building, the lobby, the synagogue, the ark, interior rooms and spaces, architectural elements and decorations within the building. Ink-stamped on the back with Alfred Bernheim's stamp.
Alfred Bernheim (1885-1974), born in Germany, immigrated to Palestine in 1934. Bernheim specialized in commercial photography for advertising, artistic and architectural photography and was the official photographer for the architect Erich Mendelsohn.
Approx. 12X17 cm to 24X17.5 cm. Condition varies. Good overall condition. Stains and blemishes (mostly slight, at margins). Trimming lines are marked on some photographs. An elegant album with the emblem of the State of Israel on its front binding. The album was published, most probably, by "Keren HaYesod", and the photographs, most of them or all of them, were taken by Shmuel Yosef Schweig. See: "Shmuel Joseph Schweig, The Materiality of Photography" (exhibition catalogue – the Tefen Open Museum for Photography in Tel-Hai Industry park, 2010).

Collection of photographs by the sisters Charlotte and Gerda Meyer – landscapes, portraits of well-known persons, photographs from an Independence Day parade, and more. Most photographs were taken in Haifa, [1930s to 1950s].
About 80 photographs. Some are stamped with different ink-stamps of the Meyer sisters, some are signed in pencil and some are not signed. Among them:
• A photograph of Alfred Mond (Lord Melchett) in Haifa. Ink-stamped on verso: "Photographic Studio Charlotte Meyer Haifa".
• Two photographs of the British High Commissioner Arthur Wauchope. Presumably these photographs were taken during the corner-stone ceremony of British Sailors' Society in Haifa. Ink-stamped: "Photographic Studio Charlotte Meyer Haifa".
• Photograph of the Swedish diplomat Folke Bernadotte with his assistant Ralph Bunche at the entrance to Zion Hotel in Haifa.
• 59 photographs from Independence Day parade in Haifa, 1953. The photographs are mounted on five album leaves. On the first leaf appears a label of the Meyer Sisters studio in Haifa, and on the last leaf appears the studio ink-stamp.

Among the photographs: • Three photographs from Jerusalem: The Hebrew University in Givat Ram, the National Insurance Building and the Western Wall. • Two photographs from the country’s northern region: Mount Hermon covered by snow, and the village Daburiyya in the Jezreel Valley. • Photographs depicting desert landscapes in the Sinai Desert region.
All of the photographs, except for one, are stamped on the back with the photographer's ink-stamp (one photograph is signed: "Photography, Miriam Shamir, Jerusalem"). One photograph is signed by hand.
The photographer Marli Shamir (b. Berlin, 1919) immigrated to Israel in 1938. She opened a photography studio in Rehovot in the early 1940s and worked as a scientific photographer at the Weizmann Institute. She moved to Jerusalem in 1945 and was one of the founders of Photo-Prisma Studio, where she worked until 1949. During the blockade of Jerusalem, she established a military photography laboratory in the city for the Haganah. She lived in West Africa during the 1960s and 1970s with her husband, Meir Shamir, who worked in Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

January 1948. • British soldiers from a Highland Light Infantry regiment, called on to intervene in a violent clash between Arabs and Jews seeking refuge in Jerusalem. February 1948. • Fire raging on Hebron Road in Jerusalem after an exchange of fire between the sides. April 1948. • Group of Haganah fighters in uniform listening to a briefing. March 1948. • Three Haganah fighters, one of them female, at their post at Al-Qastal. April 1948. • Female member of Kibbutz Negba and three soldiers seated on the ground near the ruins of the kibbutz's houses during its bombardment. Three photographs by Boris Carmi depicting Yoav Fort (Iraq Suwaydan police fort) after its occupation by IDF soldiers in the Independence War. November 1948.
Two of the photographs show Egyptian soldiers at time of surrender with the Tegart building in the background (one photograph is titled on the back: "Prisoners in Iraq Suwaydan, 1948"). The third photograph shows an IDF soldier laying Tefillin next to a machine gun post, after the occupation of the fort.
One photograph is signed by Carmi, by hand, and one is signed in the plate, in initials.
Two approx. 28.5X28.5 cm photographs, one 40X30 cm photograph. Good condition. Stains on one photograph (on the back and on margins). Adhesive tape strips on the back of two photographs (at margins).
