The film, directed by André Hugon, depicts two Jewish merchants named Levy, owners of the department store "Galeries Lévy et Cie".
Enclosed is a leaflet (in French) titled "Galeries Lévy et Cie", apparently also printed as an advertisement for the film.
Poster: 93.5X40 cm. Fair-poor condition. Stains, creases and tears (some coarse). Some of the tears are reinforced with adhesive tape to verso. The poster's bottom part is torn and missing (mounted on paper for reinforcement). Leaflet: 27.5X18.5 cm. Good condition. Folding marks and creases. Stains. Small tears to margins.

A guide to the exhibition "The Jew and France", prepared by the Institute for the Study of the Jewish Question and held in Paris between September 1941 and January 1942. The exhibition was based on the work of anthropology professor George Montandon and addressed the corrupting influence of the Jews on state institutions, and the ways of identifying a Jew by his outward appearance. Beneath the illustration is a caption reading: "Who will win? No one! Because the Jew controls the balance. Visit the Grand Anti-Masonic Exhibition and see for yourselves" (Serbian).
The "Grand Anti-Masonic Exhibition" was an anti-Semitic exhibition shown in Belgrade from October 1941, funded by the Nazi authorities, in order to expose the supposed conspiracy of Jews, Freemasons and Communists to take over the world, and with the aim of stoking hatred towards groups opposed to Nazi Germany.

The Speech Machine as a Language Teacher, six records - Hebrew Spoken Here, according to the book "Hebrew for Olim", by Rabbi Dr. Emil Cohen, edited by Asher [Oscar] Plevner. Stuttgart: Otto Sperling, [1934].
"The Speech Machine as a Language Teacher", a teaching set recorded and produced as part of the revival of Jewish education in Germany after the rising to power of the Nazi Party. Initiator of the project, Asher Plevner, was impressed by the popular teaching booklet "Ivrit LeOlim" by the scholar and author Rabbi Emil Cohen, and he turned to the owner of a records manufacturing company, Otto Sperling, who at the time produced records for learning languages. Sperling agreed to produce the records and in May 1934 Asher Plevner, his brother Dov and his sister Helena, met in the studio of "Avner" company and recorded the Hebrew talks for the study of the language.
The set includes: six records; six transcripts of the talks in Hebrew; six accompanying study booklets for each of the records with the talks in phonetic transcript in Latin characters and the meaning in German; index card for study and repetition, helping to read the lines of the transcript or of the translation, alternately.
Enclosed is a book concerning this study set: "The Speech Machine as a Language Teacher: Hebrew Spoken Here, Hebrew Voices from Nazi Germany: A Testimony on Spoken Hebrew and Jewish Life in Palestine during the British Mandate". Confirmation of transfer of money to the "Ha'avara" company, owned jointly by the Anglo-Palestine Bank and the Jewish Agency. Printed certificate with typed details and the signature of a representative of the Anglo-Palestine Bank. 1936. English.
The Transfer Agreement was signed in 1933 between the government of Nazi Germany and the Jewish Agency, with the aim of transferring the possessions and capital of Germany's Jews to Palestine. The agreement caused a major conflict in the Jewish community in Palestine and in the Diaspora, related among other things to the moral propriety of negotiating with the Nazis and the economic gain to be derived therefrom.
