The cover was designed by Reuven Rubin, when he was young (born in 1893, he was then 22), with more of his illustrations inside. Cover of the third issue is missing.

The first almanac of Chaliastre. The almanac includes poems by Uri Tzi Grinberg, Peretz Markish, Melech Ravitch, Avraham Leyeles (member of the New York "In Zich" group), and others. Aside from these, it also contains an article by Yosef Tchaikov - "Sculpture". The cover and publisher's symbol were made by Wolf Weintraub, and the illustration for M. Broderzon's poem – by Yitzchak Broyner. The almanac also includes drawings by Marc Chagall, for David Hofstein's poem cycle "Troyer" (sadness).

The Kuppe (The Pile), Peretz Markish. Kultur Lige Publishers, Warsaw, 1921. First edition. The composition on the cover was made by Henryk Berlewi, illustrating the name of Markish's poem, visually resembling a pile. The obvious brutality and coarseness of the composition's elements – the title-letters and the triangles beneath them - match the tragic mood of the poem, and the purposely provoking naturalist anti-esthetic quality which is the main tone in the poem's description of the pogrom's victims. The murdered Jews were "Piled up" in the town square.

Avraham Zak (1891-1980) – Jewish writer who lived in Poland between the two World Wars. In this novel, Zak describes his own personal story in a literary fashion by creating the character of a Jewish soldier required to go to the front in the First World War. The book is illustrated with a dozen reproductions of drawings by Yankl Adler in the expressionist style of the “Yung Yiddish” group to which he belonged.

Published in 1922-1924; altogether 5 booklets were published (6 issues – the last booklet is a double issue). The journal's initial goal was to unite modernist Yiddish authors from around the world, not only from Russia. Although it did not become an official journal at the time, it was the first attmpt to make a Yiddish Soviet literary newspaper. The last editions were published under strict censoring by the communist government. The cover was designed by Mark Chagall.
