Rear cover of one watch is decorated with a repoussé image of Moses holding the Tablets of the Law. General size: 6.5X5 cm. Fair condition. Breaks and bends to dial (undamaged mechanism); break to glass of other watch (probably, damaged mechanism).

Havdalah plate. Czechoslovakia / Germany, 1928. Porcelain with printing in gold and in other colors, maker’s mark on the reverse. A fine illustration in the center of the plate depicts a domed Torah ark surrounded by an inscription in German and in Yiddish. Three stairs lead to the ark, covered with floral cloth matching the Torah ark curtain, with a red carpet in the center. On both sides of the ark, on brown pillars, stand two yellow Hanukkah lamps, with burning candles. The Torah ark features two dark brown pillars and a yellow dome with a wave-like ornamentation. On top of the dome – Tablets of the Law inscribed with the Ten Commandments in Hebrew (faulty) and two small Stars of David. The ark has a parochet (curtain) with a floral pattern and a matching kaporet (cover). Above the cover appears the inscription in Hebrew: “Know before whom you stand”. In the center of the Torah ark curtain appears a rectangle with a torah crown and the letters ‘ כ and ‘ ט and two hands with spread fingers - a depiction of the priestly benediction gesture. An inscription in gold, in German: “Zum 40 jahr jubiläum Des Klaus-Chors” [for the fortieth anniversary of Klaus-Chorus] and below it: “1888-1928”. On top, a Star of David and the common blessing “gut vokh und gut yor” [Yiddish: a good week and a good year]. Diameter: 30 cm. Good-fair condition. Worn letters and worn golden ornamentations.

“Mazal Tov”, plate with etched inscription and decorations. [Germany or Poland, first decades of 20th century]. Etched brass. A Star of David in the center inscribed “Mazal Tov”. Surrounded by grapevines and clusters of grapes, flowers, a pair of lions sticking out tongues, and an eagle. Stars of David and vegetal decorations adorn the rim. Diameter: 24.5 cm. Good condition. Stains.
