Contains many Piyyutim for the High Holidays and for the Three Festivals, and Seder Hoshana Raba. Special Piyyutim composed for the Cuneo community and its region: · Poem of the Talmud Torah Society. · Poem for the time of siege" written in 1799 in honor of the salvation of the community during the Napoleon wars, celebrated every year like a second Purim. It is called Purim della bomba (Purim of the bomb). [For more details see Kedem Catalog no. 48, Item 16]. · Poem of the Gemilut Chassadim Society. · Miracle of the 1755 fire. · Poem for the Spanish festival. · Poem for the French festival. Composed of Piyyutim and songs for the High Holidays and the Three Festivals; the seder of eating the simanim on Rosh Hashanah eve [with unique foods, such as: onion (Batzal in Hebrew), "That we should merit basking in the shadow (betzel) of Your wings", and unique prayers to recite after each taste]; Tashlich; Kapparot; Hatarat Nedarim; prayers for sitting in the Succah, etc. Special poems composed the community and its region: “For the French festival”; “For the Gemilut Chassadim Society”, “For the Songs Society”; “For the Spanish Festival”; “Song for the 1755 fire”; Poem for the salvation, written in honor of the salvation of the community in 1799 during the Napoleon wars, celebrated each year as a second Purim and called “Purim della Bomba” (Purim of the bomb). Contains minchah of Erev Rosh Chodesh; prayer for the chazan; Piyyutim for the High Holidays and for the Festivals (including a song for Simchat Torah by the Bach); a poem for "French festival"; poem for the "Spanish festival"; "poems for the Gemilut Chesed festival; poem for the Psalm Society; "Song for the 1755 fire", "Song for the Zerizim society (written by another writer); Seder Hoshana Raba; "Annulment of ban and receiving rebuke". Colophon in the middle of the manuscript: "I the writer Menachem Refael Puah son of R' Shmuel Yitzchak Puah here in Cuneo…Erev Rosh Chodesh Kislev" (November 1775). Manuscript, prayers and Piyyutim for Rosh Hashanah. [Cuneo, Italy, 19th Century]. At the beginning of the manuscript is the Piyyut Achot Lanu Ketana chanted on Rosh Hashanah eve, followed by the order of eating the simanim on Rosh Hashanah eve [with unique foods such as onion (batzal) – "We should merit basking in the shadow (betzel) of Your wings" and unique prayers to say after each taste]. (These leaves are heavily stained because they were in use while eating); "Order for study before dawn of the two days of Rosh Hashanah", with sections of the Zohar and Psalms with Kabbalistic kavanot; prayers for teki'at shofar; Tashlich; Kapparot. Copied into the words of the prayer on Leaf [16a] is the name "Your servant, Meir son of Moshe" (the writer, Meir Kavalion). Leaf [20] is a replacement from a later time. On Leaf [45a] is a long family inscription, in Italian writing, by "Meir son of Moshe Kavalion from the city of Cuneo" concerning the birth of his son in Nisan 1802 and about his circumcision by "The Katzin (prominent) Shimon Lattes". Ownership inscription of Meir Kavalion and his son Binyamin (from 1814). [48] leaves (including 9 empty leaves). Heavy paper. 24 cm. Good-fair condition. Most are written in cursive Italian writing, partially vowelized. Ownership inscription before the title page: "Yedidya son of Shimon Lattes Cuneo 1814". On the leaf following the colophon is another uncompleted writing, titled Kabbalat Shabbat. [29] leaves (and more empty leaves). 10.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains and wear. Contemporary vellum binding, damaged. · Enclosed: a folded leaf, with "A simple prayer for Sefirat HaOmer in honor of my task to bring merit to those who fear G-d…". Incomplete.

Manuscript, draft of memoires and testament, written by R' Ya'akov Momiliagno of Mondovi, Piedmont, Italy, [mid-19th century]. Various interesting inscriptions (some repetitive with slight variations). Among other topics, the writer writes of a dispute and persecution he suffered from his community. Following these events, he wrote a testament to his sons to stay away from his community: "Before I leave and will not be here anymore, I command… my sons and daughters to stay as far as possible… from our people, from the Jews who reside in Mondovi…". In another place he writes of a miracle that befell him: "I praise G-d… who sent my salvation… on the way to Torino I fell out of the carriage…". Other inscriptions. [11] leaves. Varied size.
