"Beshlulit Tzel Hama", story by the author S. Yizhar [Yizhar Smilansky], [1950s].
On the reverse of the last leaf, S. Yizhar wrote "this is a chapter of a book" and crossed off the sentence with a line.
The story, which takes place during the Independence War, is a chapter from the monumental novel by Yizhar "Yemei Ziklag" [Days of Ziklag] which tells the story of a squad of IDF soldiers commanded by Gidi, trying to conquer elevation point 244, named "Ziklag" by the soldiers. For this book, which was published in 1958 (two volumes, circa 1100 pp), Yizhar won the Israel Prize and it is still considered one of the masterpieces of Israeli literature. 29 leaves, 32 cm. Good condition. Dry paper, tears at margins of some of the leaves. Folding marks. Some dampstaining on the last two leaves.

The story takes place during the Independence War: a company of soldiers occupies an Arab village; while staying there, they are attacked by flees and undergo changes of morals and consciousness. The story ends with the soldiers setting the houses of the village on fire. [20] leaves (lacking: first page and page no. 16), 18 cm. Fair-good condition. Wear and creases, stains. Tears at upper margins (from the printing process).

Contract between Ms. Havatzelet Habshush, Mr. Pinchas Sadeh and Bezalel Tcherikover, concerning the publication of the book "Hitmasrut, 21 Michtavim LePinchas Sadeh” [Devotion, 21 letters to Pinchas Sadeh (Hebrew)]. November 1972. Signed by Habshush, Sadeh and Tcerikover (three times).
A contract arranging the conditions for publishing the book which was published by Tcherikover in 1973 (enclosed is a copy of the book). Havatzelet Habshush (1950-1984) had a relationship with Pinchas Sadeh (1929-1994) after being influenced by his book "HaChayim KeMashal" (Life as a fable, Hebrew). 21 of her personal and intimate letters to Sadeh were published in the book (encouraged by him) and the book became a best-seller. Habshush committed suicide eleven years later. [2] leaves 32.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Filing holes.

Haim Guri's second book, depicting his personal impressions of the War of Independence. On the first page appears a dedication handwritten by Haim Guri to David Ben-Gurion: "sparks from the big fire that devoured us" (Jerusalem, summer, 1950).
A note handwritten by David Ben-Gurion is attached to one of the book's leaves with four comments regarding Guri's book, including a comment about censorship.
When the book "Ad Alot Hashachar" by Haim Guri was published, in 1950, the distribution of the book was forbidden by a police order and the copies of the books were confiscated due to the book not being presented in advance to the Military Censor, as requested. About two months later the book appeared again with some sections and names omitted. 167 pp, 18 cm. Note in Ben-Gurion's handwriting: 12.5 cm. Good condition. Foxing. Tears to dust jacket
