The book was printed in a limited edition of 200 signed copies. Presented is an unnumbered copy. On the colophon appears a signed comment handwritten by Steiner-Prag. Bound in an exquisite parchment binding, with a hand drawn illustration in color and a gold embossing on the spine. 56, [3] pp + [6] plates, 26.5 cm. Good condition. Foxing (at margins and endpapers).

Michel Fingesten (1883-1943), a Czeck-Jewish painter and graphic designer, active in Berlin. After the rise of the Nazi party to power he fled to Italy, where he was arrested in a concentration camp. Fingesten died several days after the liberation of the camp by the British army. [2] leaves, 67 pp, [1] leaf + [10] engraving plates, 28.5 cm. Fine binding with parchment spine and a gold embossing. Good condition. Some stains within the book. Foxing at edges of leaves. Some damages to binding.
