The illustrations portray the interior of a palace. Two illustrations are titled: "Bringing beautiful women to the king"; "Esther in the women's house". (Hebrew).
In one of the illustrations Mordechai is portrayed refusing to bow before Haman. The illustration in color depicts King Solomon in his palace. 7 sketches, average size of leaf: 20X9 cm. Size of illustrations varies. Condition varies (overall good condition).

2. Illustrations for the Book of Kings, chapter 1 – King David, in his old age, lying in bed; his harp next to him. Two figures go down the steps leading to his room. The illustration apparently depicts the scene when Avishag is taken to King David. To the left of the illustration appears a small decoration. An inscription appears on top of the leaf: "Book Illustrations" (Hebrew). [1] leaf, 17 cm.
3. Illustration for the Book of Kings B, chapter 25. Two figures stand in front (most probably Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon and one of his soldiers), looking at Jerusalem besieged. On the lower part of the illustration, an inscription " the city was besieged (Kings 2:5)" (Hebrew). Two additional inscriptions are added in pencil: "Tenth of Tevet"; "Book illustrations". [1] leaf, 30 cm.

Apparently this is the first sketch for the illustration of Passover dinner which appears in the book "Chageinu" (the final illustration is significantly different from the presented sketch). Several handwritten comments appear on the right side of the leaf: "try to add grandfather", "Map of Eretz Israel on the wall", "Pitcher with the bowl?", and more (Hebrew). [1] leaf, ca. 21 cm.
2. Boys next to their teacher, reading a book next to a tree. On the upper part of the leaf, the inscription "Book illustrations" (Hebrew). [1] leaf, 24 cm.
3. Four figures. One holding jugs while the three others sit facing him, on the ground, next to a tree. On the upper part of the leaf an inscription "Book illustrations" (Hebrew). [1] leaf, 16 cm.

A fine illustration of the Tower of David; around it appears a gate topped with a pointed arch. Under the arch appears the book's title and the author's name (English) and on the lower portion of the leaf appear two handwritten comments: "enlarge" and "book illustrations" and some additional inscriptions in pencil (Hebrew).

Ze'ev Raban - drawings from the design process of different practical items. Pencil and ink on paper.
17 leaves with tens of small drawings which were used for the design of various objects - pendants, amulets, silver ornamentations, letter openers, mouthpieces, and more.
All of the drawings or most of them were done by Ze'ev Raban, in the joint workshop of Raban and Meir Gur-Aryeh. One leaf is ink-stamped "Zeev Raban, workshop for industrial art (former Gur-Aryeh and Raban), Bezalel, Yerushalem"; one drawing is pasted to official stationery of Meir Gur-Aryeh; one drawing is dated: 1945.
Titles or handwritten instructions appear on some of the leaves. Inscriptions "Leyichye" or "Yichye" appear next to some drawings [for silversmith Yichye Yemini, with whom Raban worked]. 17 leaves, size and condition vary.

On the right – a big lion with a long tail, sticking out his tongue, holding in his paw a shield, inscribed: "Shiviti…" and above it the word "Mizrah". Chains with Stars of David at their end hang from the lower part of the shield, and below it - sky-blue and white stripes. The background is decorated with orange vegetal decorations and dots. 42X45 cm. Fair condition. Small bumps and waves to parchment leaf. Stains. Miniature holes at corners.
