Part One [the other parts were not printed]. Vilnius, 1902. Hebrew and Russian. A Hebrew and Russian textbook, with prayers translated to Russian. [2], 68, 18 pp, 22.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains and tears (the bottom part of the last page is cut). A torn cover, laminated in nylon.

Children's book, printed on thick cardboard leaves. [Germany, c. 1920s]. German.
Four thick cardboard leaves, with seven large colorful naïve illustrations, some have Jewish motifs such as children waving blue and white flags with a Star of David; a decoration in the shape of a Star of David hanging on the door of the house; a Chanuka menorah with lights on the table; a Shabbat table (hanging on the wall is a picture of Rachel's Tomb). Printed at the bottom of the leaves are short rhymes. We do not know if the book is complete and it was printed without a title page or book title. [4] leaves 27X20.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Each pair of leaves is connected with fabric. Placed in a new cardboard box.

The following three books are the first books published in "Gamaliel" Library by ‘Omanut’ publishing. These are translations of books first published by the Rusian "Knebel" publishing house that printed the most magnificent and original children's books in Moscow at the beginning of the twentieth century. The books were first printed in Odessa and reprinted in Frankfurt. In front of us are the three editions printed in Frankfurt in 1922:
1. The Nightingale, a fairy tale by Andersen, illustrations by A. [Georgy Ivanovitch] Narbut. ‘Omanut’ "Gamaliel" library, Frankfurt am Main- Moscow - Odessa, Frankfurt am Main [1922]. [12 pages], 27 cm. Fair – good condition. Tears, creases and stains.
2. A Magical Ship (Oniyat Ksamim), a fairy tale by W. Hauff, Illustrations by D. Mitrohin. ‘Omanut’ "Gamaliel" library, Frankfurt am Main-Moscow-Odessa, [1922]. Fairy tale by Wilhelm Hauff, accompanied by colorful illustrations by Dmitry Mitrohin. [12 pages]. Good condition. Damages to spine.
3. The Ship and the Barge, a fairy tale by R. [Richard] Gustafson. Illustrations by D. [Dmitry] Mitrohin. ‘Omanut’ "Gamaliel" library, Frankfurt am Main - Moscow - Odessa [circa 1922]. [12 leaves]. Good condition. Few stains, mostly on the cover.

2. The Roosters and the Fox. ‘Omanut’ publishing, "Gamaliel" Library. Moscow - Odessa, [not dated, early 20s, before 1922 ]. A fable from Berechiah ha-Nakdan collection, adapted by Chaim Nachman Bialik. Illustrations by Moshe Mutzelmacher. First edition, printed in Odessa. [12 pp.]. Fair - good condition. Stains. The margins and the cover are slightly torn.

4. For the Spinning Top (Lasvivon). ‘Omanut’ publishers, "Gamaliel" Library, Frankfurt am Main (Moscow - Odessa), [1922]. A children’s poem. Apparently, the author is Shneur Zalman. The poem is supplemented by six lithographic color illustrations, by "the group of painters". [16 pp]. Fair – good condition. Tears, cover and pages are either fully or partially loose.
5. Latset Yedey Hakol. ‘Omanut’ publishing, "Gamaliel " library. Frankfurt am Main, Moscow - Odessa, 1922. A folk tale adapted by Tolstoy. Probably translated into Hebrew by Ahad Ha'am (Asher Ginsberg). Illustrations: "the group of painters" (maybe , A. Kravtsov). [8 leaves]. Good condition. Stains. The margins are slightly torn.
6. Ve’aye ani? ‘Omanut’ publishing, "Gamaliel" library, Frankfurt am Main (Moscow - Odessa), 1922. A tale for children by Yehuda Steinberg. Illustrations: "the group of painters". [8 leaves]. Good condition. The binding is mildly damaged.
7. Five Blind Men (Hamisha Ivrim). ‘Omanut’ publishing, "Gamaliel " library, Frankfurt am Main - Moscow - Odessa , 1922. An Indian folk tale adapted by Tolstoy, an unknown translator. Illustrations: "the group of painters" (possibly Yafim Higer). [10 pages]. Good condition. Stains, creases and minor tears.
8. A Tale of an Old Woman and a Bear. ‘Omanut’ publishing, "Gamaliel" library, Frankfurt am Main (Moscow - Odessa), 1922. A children’s folk tale, translated and edited by Simcha Ben Zion. Illustrations: "the group of painters". [9 leaves]. Very good condition. The cover is slightly damaged.
9. A Tale of a Chick Who Asked for Another Mother, Levin Kipnis. ‘Omanut’ publishing ["Gamaliel" library?], Frankfurt am Main - Moscow - Odessa, 1923. A children’s story by Levin Kipnis with color illustrations by "Rabbi Zvi Bezalel " (Ze'ev Raban’s pseudonym).[8 leaves]. Good condition. Fragile paper.
