Decorative item in the form of the Tablets of the Law. [Central Europe, early 20th cent.]. Silver (marked), cast, impressed and partly gilded. Tablets of the Law (gilded) are in the center with the inscription of the Ten Commandments. A pair of lions on both sides of the Tablets. A Torah crown and rocailles. Clips for hanging – on the reverse. Height: 8 cm.

Glass cup. Erlau [Eger, Hungary] 1909. Transparent glass with engraved writing and decoration. Decoration of branches and leaves. On one side: the Star of David, on the other side: the dedication: "Rabbi Israel, Erloi, 1909". It appears that this cup belonged to Rabbi Israel Isaacson (born 1880) a Romanian Hassidic rabbi, Av Bet Din of Erlau. Author of the book “Shomer Mitzvah” on the 613 mitzvot. See attached material. "Safed" Kiddush cup. [Poland, 19th century; Eretz Israel, early 20th century]. Silver (marked), engraved. The Kiddush cup was made in Poland in the 19th century; ornaments were added in Eretz Israel early in the 20th cent. The medallions on which fine ornaments are engraved: "Western Wall", "Tombs of Davidic Line kings" and "Cave of Machpela", surrounded by leaves. Height: 6.5 cm, base diameter: 4 cm. Minor damages.

An engraved dedication on the rim of the goblet: "for our dear friend Mr. Yehuda Herz", on the base: with appreciation, Moshe Binnenstock, Yeshivat Torat HaNachal". Height: 10 cm.

Double beaker for bride and groom. [Central Europe, 19th cent.]. Silver (marked), engraved. A pair of wide cups, on one of them an engraved inscription:"for the groom Avraham Moshkovitz…", and on the other the inscription:"for the bride Shifra Gitza daughter of Zeev Wolf Meisles…". The cups were made according to German communities' custom, where two cups were designated for the groom and bride. The cups were used during the bridal ceremony (one was for the engagement blessing and the other for the Seven Blessings).Afterwards the cups were kept with their spouts assembled one on top of the other, and they look like a barrel [a similar custom is common for a circumcision ceremony. See attached material]. Height: ca. 8 cm. Diameter: 7-8 cm.

A pair of candle sticks for travel. [West Europe, first half of 20th cent.]. Silver (marked), cast and engraved. Each candlestick is shaped as a round cup. The candle base is assembled on the cup. The candle base is removable and placed within the "cup". The candle sticks are assembled one on top of the other (similar to the Double beaker customary in weddings or circumcision ceremonies, see previous item). An ornamented heraldic frame decorates each candle stick with the inscriptions: "Shabbat", "Shalom". Maximum height: 6 cm. Slightly bent.
