“Yitba Hayeshuv et Herpat Hayalav” (The Yishuv will demand the humiliation of its soldiers) / “Tens of Hebrew Soldiers Will be Charged by Military Court”. Two posters denigrating the enlistment to the Jewish Brigade. Eretz Israel, [middle of 1940’s].
The posters express opposition to enlistment in the Jewish Brigade for various reasons: The soldiers are enlisted without equipment, without training, without a flag and without a Jewish emblem; The soldiers have to put on an emblem with the word “Palestine” and includes Arabic letters. Bearing this is an offence against conscience and national honor. The writer of the poster calls for “an open consistent popular war for the national flag for Jewish Units" and for “A Hebrew emblem for our troops”. Leaf 41.5 X25 cm. Good condition. Stains; Leaf 39.5X22.5 cm. Fair condition, creases, signs of folding and stains.

The "Haganah" emergency "Security Fund" was aimed at collecting funds to acquire arms and to finance the War of Independence. The caption on the certificate reads, "Per la vita, per l'onore, per las difesa d'Israele" [To Life, Honor and the Defense of Israel]. 35x25 cm. Good condition. Folding mark, minor creases.

"'Haganah' missionaries tortured and killed". Proclamation on behalf of "Etzel", 1947.
Proclamation issued by "Etzel", concerning "Habricha" movement and refugee camps in Austria. "Habricha" was a Zionist organization in charge of illegal immigration of some three hundred thousand Holocaust survivors to Eretz Israel during the years 1944-1948. "Habricha" started as a spontaneous organization and later was assisted by the "Haganah" and became one of the leading factors in the "Ha'apala" operation to Eretz Israel.
"Etzel" members attack in this proclamation the "Haganah" conduct in Insbruck refugee camp:"people of this totalitarian monopoly intentionally interfered with rescue operations which were organized by our members when war ended…. One of our members, Milo Friedlich, a Romanian refugee, who was tortured to death….Milo Friedlich was murdered by his torturers…". 25X35 cm. Good condition, stains. Back clothed for display and preservation.

Booklet issued for Tenth of Nissan 19.4.1948. Includes a "Proclamation for Jewish Communities all over Poland" (in Hebrew and Yiddish), "Seder Avodat HaYom", fasting laws for Tenth of Nissan 1948 and a eulogy poem by Leib Bialer, "Eli Warsaw!".
From the proclamation: "my eye sheds water for the extinction of one third of our people in Europe…in the meanest and most cruel ways, old and young, men, women and children…and the demolition of synagogues…the rabbis of Poland conferred and decided to declare the Tenth of Nissan of this year as a fasting day…".

The documents call for generous donations:"…we should be the first to rescue Polish Jews, refugees of war…donate generously…". On one of the documents are signed (in print) members of the Jewish Agency as well as leading Polish rabies and the chief rabies of Eretz Israel.[2] leaves, 28.5-26.5 cm. Good condition. Folding marks, minor stains.

The senders of the letters are requesting to leave the displaced persons camps and make Aliya to Eretz Israel. “21 months after the victory I still am in a camp"; "I request: take me away from the camp, let me join my brothers and sisters in Palestine, give me the possibility to begin a peaceable and normal life in my own country”. Forms 30.5 cm. Good condition. Folded in original postal envelopes
