Hanging Shabbat lamp. [Germany, 18th or 19th century].
Cast brass.
Lamp with flower-like ornamentation. Eight cornets for filling with oil and wicks, star-shaped design. Under the star, another bowl is hanging for draining the oil. Has a long rack shaped like a sharp saw [can be shortened or lengthened], upon which the lamp hung.
The star arrangement of cornets in the center of the lamp was known by the name of "The Jewish Star" ("Yudeshtern"). Such lamps were common in Jewish homes in Germany dedicated for lighting Shabbat candles.
Maximum height (with hanging rack): 120 cm.

Two tier lamp, with 13 round spaces for hanging glass oil-cups. This lamp is an example of lamps which were used during festivals and special occasions with two tiers and a place for 13 oil-cups.

Silver (unstamped). Cast, engraved and sawn. Silver dome (with engraved decoration) with ring for hanging, from which four chains and a crown-like hoop for holding the lighting-cup descend.
Dedication: "In memory of Rabbi Faraji". The dedication apparently refers to Rabbi Faraji Alush (1854-1903) "Av Beit Din" and Chief Rabbi of Djerba.

Lamp for hanging in the Synagogue. Jerusalem, [1930s-40s].
Silver; metal adornments (silver-plated).
Two-tier lamp. The upper tier is a nonagon. Engraved on the hoop is the inscription: "Ben Porat Yosef, Ben Porat alei ayin…"; has nine detachable hangers for placing oil-cups. Three are elevated and have removable ornamentations in the shape of deer (silver-plated). The second tier, the bottom, is designated for placing a large oil cup.
The lamp was made by Ya'akov Mizrahi (Tzoref), born in the "Yigi'a Kapayim" neighborhood of Jerusalem (1878 or 1880), owner of a jewelry workshop in the "Machane Yehuda" neighborhood, died in 1955.

Cast brass.
Chanukah lamp, early Italian style. In the center of the back panel is an angel with a crown on its head standing on a jug, spreading its wings which support the cover of the jug, holding branches from which pillars are winding. At the right and left are two angels with spread-out wings (holding jugs placed on masks) blowing "shofars". At the top of the central jug, two figures are sitting that face outward, their feet are on the pillars and they are holding the angels' wings.
Height: 19 cm. width: 22.5 cm. length: 5.5 cm. No "shamash".
