Miniature Torah Ark. [Poland, 1930s].
Carved wood; gold paint; gilded metal ornamentation.
Miniature Torah Ark, for storing a miniature Torah scroll. The front is adorned with impressive engravings in Eastern European style, leaf and floral ornamentation.
Height: 59 cm. width: 42 cm. length: 16 cm. Overall good condition. Two metal adornments are missing on the doors. Damages and minor breaks to wood. Renewed back.

Wooden table. India, [20th century].
Sawn painted wood; glued decorations.
Square wooden table, painted green and decorated with flowers, a large "menorah", inscription "G-d is One" and four Stars of David. The word "Zion" appears inside the upper Stars of David; in the lower Stars is the letter "Peh". Some of the decorations were drawn on the wood itself and some are glued.
Ostensibly, the table was used in the Synagogue. Possibly, the Torah scroll was placed on it. On the bottom part is a later inscription: "Calcutta".
Height: 36.5 cm. width and length: 44 cm.

Three mezuzah covers – "Jeta Del Mezuzah ". [Morocco].
Velvet and fabric on cardboard shaped like a shield, artistic embroidery of gold and silver threads. At the top of each cover the name "Shin, Dalet, Yud" is embroidered above the name of the proprietress ["Chana Malka", "Chefziba Adahan", "Chefziba Tovi"]. Ornamented with floral patterns and bird patterns [symbolic of domestic peace]. Two covers have golden fringes.
3 covers, 25.27 cm. Varied condition.
"Jeta Del Mezuzah " – fancy cover placed on the mezuzah case at the entrance to a home, one of the important ritual Jewish objects of a Jewish home in Morocco. The custom is that the woman brings it to her home, with her name embroidered on the cover.

Two tallit (prayer shawl) bags for a bar-mitzvah boy ("sachara d'tzitzit"). Morocco, beginning of 20th century.
Silver plates, cut, sawn and engraved; wood; blue velvet fabric.
1. On the front plate is the name of the boy: "E.H. (Eved Hashem) Shlomo bar Chaviv Asulin" flanked by ornamentation of birds, branches, leaves and Stars of David. On the back plate: "Honor your father and your mother", "Your father will be happy and your mother will rejoice", "Nice and pleasant son", "Magen David" and "If I forget you Jerusalem, my right hand will be forgotten".
2. On the front plate is the name of the boy: "E.H. Michael bar Yonah Ebn Harush" flanked by ornamentation of branches, leaves, Stars of David and geometrical adornments. On the back is a central flower-like plate with four small corner plates.

Red velvet, with embroidered Star of David and inscription: "Souvenir of Hashalshelet Rotterdam".
The Religious Youth Movement "Hashalshelet" was founded for Jewish youth in Holland after the Holocaust. Its goal was to cultivate values of Judaism and tradition in the midst of "She'erit HaPleita" children. This included many orphans hidden in Christian homes during the Holocaust who never received any Jewish education. The movement published a monthly journal for youth named "Hashalshelet". For many children this journal was the first source of Torah thoughts they encountered after living for long periods in non-Jewish homes. See attached material. * Attached is an issue of "Hashalshelet", no. 3. Amsterdam, Pesach 1959.
