Chumash Ein HaSofer, "To assist the scribe and 'tikkun vavei ha'amudin'". Rabbi Wolf Heidenheim. Five volume set [Bereshit-Devarim]. Roedelheim, 1818-1821.
Exact chumash with lists of the mesorah and ta'amim, articles about grammar and guidelines for writing a Torah scroll. At the end of each volume is Seder HaHaftarot, piyutim and yotzrot for Shabbatot and festivals. Shabbat prayers appear at the end of the fifth volume [the rest of the volumes have just the piyutim without the prayers].
Signatures and stamps: "Moshe Segal of Ir Chadash"; "Moshe Segal Nowe-Miasto" – Rabbi Moshe Segal Hamburger (1801-1848), native of Ir Chadash (Nowe-Miasto), disciple of the Chatam Sofer of Pressburg. The Chatam Sofer used to call his disciples according to their cities, and he called Rabbi Moshe "Moshe Ir Chadash". Since then for the rest of his life, Rabbi Moshe used the name his rabbi called him. He immigrated with the disciples of the Chatam Sofer to Eretz Yisrael and was a prominent figure in the "old yishuv" of Jerusalem. His life history was written in the book ‘Shlosha Olamot’ Jerusalem 1939 [see attached material].

The eldest of today's rebbes – the Rebbe of Tosh, Rebbe Meshulam Feish Segal Loewy, born in 1922 to his father, Rebbe Mordechai grandson of Rabbi Meshulam Feish Loewy of Tosh (the First). Arrived in Montreal, Canada in 1951, and in 1963, established the Chassidic community of Tosh in the suburbs of the city Boisbriand, approximately 30 km. From there. Known for his long prayers and his service of G-d with amazing devotion. Many throng to be in his presence during Shabbat, including some of the greatest Chassidic influences in the USA and Canada. The tzaddik Rabbi Shmuel Horwitz (1905-1972), born in Safed, a leader of Breslav Chassidim in Eretz Yisrael, lived in the Old City of Jerusalem until 1948 and established the Breslav printing press. After returning from Jordan captivity, he lived in Jerusalem and in Meron. In the book “Yemei Shmuel” his personal and spiritual diary was printed, where he writes of the whole matter of his coming close and bonding to Breslav.
264; 55, 95-108, 1-20, 1-34 leaves. 22.5 cm. Dry brittle paper. Fair-poor condition, wear and tear, many usage stains, primarily to the pages of kabbalistic kavanot during the meal and at shofar blowing. Worn binding.
On the title page the date is 1881 and on the reverse side the censor authorization is dated 1888.

Copy of Rebbe Levi Yitzchak Leifer of Nadvorna-Arad-Haifa. Many notations and scribbles on first leaves. Long dedication on title page: "This siddur belongs to this rabbi… famous holy tzaddik… Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Leifer Arad ben… Rabbi Yechiel Leifer…these are the words of the son of his brother-in-law Meir Weisblum of Borsa…here in Arad…". On the same page, the Rebbe added in his own handwriting the dates of the yahrtzheits of his mother and brothers murdered in the Holocaust: "The yahrtzheit of my holy mother… and my holy brother Rabbi Binyamin… and my holy brother Yissachar…". At the end of the book is a similar dedication by Rabbi Meir Weisblum, and a list of names of people needing salvation in the Rebbe's handwriting.
Rebbe Levi Yitzchak Leifer of Nadvorna-Arad (1895-1961, Encyclopedia L'Chassidut Vol. 3, page 25), son of Rebbe Yechiel of Michalovce, another son of Rabbi Meir HaGadol of Premishlan. Son-in-law of Rabbi Meir Weisblum Rabbi of Nadvorna (Lizhensk dynasty). Most of his family was murdered during the Holocaust, only he and his brother Rabbi Aharon Aryeh of Temesvár survived. Settled in Haifa where he established his Chassidic court and served as rebbe.

A number of scholarly glosses and various handwritten inscriptions [some in his handwriting, possibly some written by his father, author of “Erech Shai”]. On the last page are inscriptions by Rabbi "Shlomo Leib".
Rabbi Meir David Tabak (1850-1936, Otzar HaRabbanim 13046), son of the renowned Torah genius Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Leib Tabak Rosh Av Beit Din of Sighet, author of “Erech Shai” and “Teshurat Shai” (1832-1908). Disciple of the Rahak of Sieniawa. Served as dayan and Rabbi of Kretchinef and succeeded his father as Av Beit Din of Sighet. According to his tombstone, he wrote a book called “Birkat Shadayim” but apparently, it was never printed.

After the Holocaust immigrated to Eretz Israel and resided in Masmia and Bnei Brak. Giant in Torah and Chassidism and closely associated with Torah giants of the generation including the Chazon Ish. Author of Kehilot Ya’akov (the Steipler) writes in reference to him that he is “among leading Halachic authorities and righteous giants of the generation... inasmuch as I was told that the Chazon Ish held his Torah and righteousness in high esteem”.

Beginning of book contains preface and biography, including eulogies on him by his brother Rabbi David Deitsch, Av Beit Din of Zahari (Silesia). Gleiwitz 1855. Includes portrait of author.
At end of book, poem about wine for Purim, beginning with: “Samchuni Ba’Ashishot, BeKosot Rapduni” and riddle, beginning with: “Rosh Chodashim…”.
Signed inscription (in German) from 1856 by publisher, brother of author, the Ga’on Rabbi David Deitsch Av Beit Din of Myslowice and Zahari, (1810-1873), disciple of the Maharam Benet and the “Chatam Sofer”, author of Asof Asifa, in opposition to assembly of Reformists in Braunschweig, and other books. The author, the Ga’on Rabbi Yisrael Deitsch (1800-1853), Av Beit Din of Beiten (Silesia), son of Rabbi Mordechai Av Beit Din of Zülz; opponent of the Reform movement, corresponded with author of the “Ktav Sofer”, who refers to him in one of his responses as “Warrior in the battle of G-d”.
