"Sefer HaMiknah", deed form for purchasing land in Jerusalem. [Jerusalem, 1870s]. "Next to Jerusalem on the way to Nablus there is land….which belongs to Yochanan Zvi Schlank[…]" Printed on pink paper, in a frame with a verse from the Book of Jeremiah, 32, verses 15, 54. Rabbi Yochanan Zvi Schlank, a scholar, disciple of Hachatam Sofer. One of the founders of" Nachlat Shiva "neighborhood, the first who established a two-floors building in Jerusalem and "Gabai "of "Holland and Deutschland Kolel" . It is not absolutely clear whether this form was used for purchasing land in one of the neighborhoods outside of the City's walls, or maybe this is a way of raising money by selling land in Eretz Israel. 24X22.5 cm. Good condition. Has not been in use. Minor tears to margin, folding-marks. Bibliographically unknown and not mentioned by Shoshana HaLevi.

A bi-lingual appeal concerning fund-raising for "Chevrat Yishuv Eretz Israel" founded by Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Kalisher. The appeal lists the philanthropists of the Jewish people with whom Kalisher has been in touch: "the honorable counselor Cremiéux", "we also have a letter from London…from Montefiore…", and describes the method of fund-raising. [1] leaf 34X41 cm. Fair-good condition. Tears at margin, stains. Folded into two.

Drawing of the southern entrance to the city of Haifa and a chart detailing the land owners and the damages caused to their land while completing the construction of the railway – an accurate record of the number of water wells and the expropriated buildings (including the designation of each building), the uprooted trees (hundreds of orange trees, figs, pomegranates, olives and palm trees). 196X32 cm. Several cloth sheets glued together. Good condition. Stains, minor tears (some glued), damages mainly to edges and to connections between the cloth sheets.
