"HaChninuch", a pedagogic journal for teachers and parents, published by the Teachers Society in Eretz Israel, edited by Dr. N. [Nissan] Turov. A. Etin printing press, Jaffa. First year: Nissan-Adar [1910-1911], second year: Nissan-Adar [1911-1912]. 4 issues; 5 issues. A Hebrew periodical concerning education matters. The editor, Prof. Nissan Turov (1877-1953) was a teacher and pedagogue, psychologist, author and journalist, editor and Hebrew translator native of Russia, one of the founders of the Lewinsky Teachers' Seminary in Jaffa and its first director, director of the Boston Teachers' Seminary and a professor in the Religious Studies Institute in New-York. The proofreader of the journal was the author J.Ch. Brenner who, at the time, served as the secretary of the Teachers Union. Two volumes 24 cm. Fair-good condition. Acid and fragile paper. Tears. Extensive collection of documents and handwritten letters, concerning Yemenite Jews. Aden (Yemen) and Eretz Israel, 1940s-50s. Hebrew (oriental handwriting) and Arabic.
Most of the documents are letters sent to Badihi family (Yichye Salem Badihi and Yossef Badihi) in Eretz Israel and in Aden, concerning donations and transfer of financial-aid and support to the Jews of Yemen. On some of the letters Yossef Korach and Avraham Said Habshush are signed. The collection also includes a book with copies of letters of one of the Badihi family, notebooks with accounts, records of donations which arrived from Aden, personal letters, etc. Lot of about 120 items, sizes and conditions vary.

Lino-cut in blue. The proclamation calls for establishing a Jewish army in the USA. The Revisionist Movement was active in the 1940, headed by Ze'ev Jabotinsky, towards establishing a Jewish Army to fight alongside the Allied Forces. When Jabotinsky died, the political activists of Etzel staying at that time in the US, started a propaganda campaign to enhance the achievement of this goal, an action which served as an incentive for Zionists of the central stream to join the struggle. In May 1944 "The Jewish Committee for Liberating the Nation" was founded and acted to save Jews in Europe, to establish a Jewish army and a Jewish state in Eretz Israel. 48X31.5 cm. Good condition.
