"Ba'al Machshavot" is the pen-name of Dr. Israel Isidor Eliashev (1873-1924), a neurologist, publicist, Zionist activist, literary editor and editor of Yiddish newspapers, translator and critic of literature, theatre and art, known as being the first critic of Yiddish literature. The emblem of "Kultur- Lige" group which appears on the cover and the emblem "Mendele, Peretz, Sholem Aleichem Kultur Fund" over the title-page leaf, were designed by Issachar Ber-Ryback. 126 [1] pp, 20.5 cm.
