Valuable will, by author of “Yesod VeShoresh Ha’avoda”, with homily by Rabbi Nissim Lopes and Chiddushim by his son, the publisher, Rabbi Ezra Lopes. Aram-Tzova, (1905). Binding leaf contains printed inscription by publisher with lengthy writing in his handwriting.
Rabbi Ezra Lopes (1854-1924), among scholars of Aram-Tzova, giant in Torah and active in enterprises of charity and benevolence, righteous and humble Hassid, supervisor and manager of Kashrut of Mikva’ot [ritual baths] in the city; each Friday afternoon would hurry merchants and traders to close their businesses before sunset. Involved in the publishing of books of ethics and books of scholars of Aram-Tzova. Author of Magen Ezra which he began printing and remained in manuscript form.
